Membership Meetings

Membership meetings are on the first Saturday of every month at the Nistawoyou Association Friendship Centre, 8310 Manning Avenue, from 10:00 am -1:00 pm, with lunch provided at 12:00 pm.For inquiries regarding past membership meeting minutes you can contact the McMurray Métis office at or 780-743-2659.


Métis Nation of Alberta Membership
•To apply for a membership with the Métis Nation of Alberta (MNA) you must first pick-up a membership application form at the McMurray Métis office and then follow the instructions.

McMurray Métis Membership
•If you wish to apply for a McMurray Métis membership you must be a Member of the Métis Nation of Alberta. Please pick up and complete the Membership Application Form at the McMurray Métis office.

McMurray Métis Associate
•If you are not a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta, or are in the process of obtaining a membership from the Métis Nation of Alberta, and you wish to be informed of our activities on an ongoing basis please sign up as as Associate of the McMurray Métis.

Bursary Program

It is a primary goal of the McMurray Métis to raise money for and disburse bursaries to support the educational advancement of members. A bursary application form can be picked up at the McMurray Métis office.

Academics and General Qualifications
•Students must be members in good standing with the McMurray Métis;
•Priority consideration will be given to full time students with a course load of three or more academic subjects;
•Copies of final semester course marks are necessary; and
•Applicants must describe, in essay form, the following:
     •Career aspirations and goals for the future;
     •Your involvement with the McMurray Métis;
     •Why the bursary is required; and
     •A letter of acceptance for continued study from the accredited educational institute.  

Selection Process
•Applicants submit their application to our office.
•Upon receipt of the application, and all the required information, the applications will be reviewed by the Bursary Committee.
•Successful recipients are advised of their awards.

Deadlines for Applications
There are fall and winter bursaries and applicants must apply for each semester. 
Deadlines for applications are:
•Fall: August 15th 
•Winter: December 15th
