In addition to his role with McMurray Métis, Bill was past President of the Nistawoyou Friendship Centre and former president of Métis Nation of Alberta, Region One, where he was elected Treasurer of the Métis Nation of Alberta. He has also served as the Métis representative on the Athabasca Watershed Council. Bill also served on the Board of Directors of the Cumulative Environmental Management Association.
Bill worked for 26 years at Trans Canada Pipelines as an Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Technician for 15 years as an underground miner in Yellowknife, Whitehorse, and Uranium City and at several other mines in northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
In the recent years, Bill has been appointed by the provincial government to serve as the Métis representative on the Oil Sands Advisory Group.
