The Stakeholder Relations Department conducts regulatory reviews, traditional land use studies, and cultural impact assessments related to oil sands development.
They negotiate and implement industry agreements, guide citizenship engagement and consultation, lead environmental stewardship and community-based monitoring, and represent our District and Citizens through industry and government relations.

McMurray Métis agreements in place with several industry partners. The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, the Government of Alberta, and the Government of Canada have also contributed to the success of the McMurray Metis. Our industry partners include:
